Today I ate at the Oelwein Family Restaurant and ordered just hash browns with extra toppings. The food was so hot and fresh and very good/tasty. Actually, it was better than some of the larger restaurants we have where I live. I highly recommend anyone who wants a "family" style restaurant to eat there.
We're traveling the country and like to support local businesses in the area. We just happened upon this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Boy, are we glad we did! The breakfast meals were DELICIOUS, and the prices were reasonable also. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back if we're in this area!
Good stop for those passing through. Food was hearty. Reasonable prices as well. No frills, and tables are close enough to "know your neighbor" but a good road trip stop for all travelers.
I haven't been there since new owners took over. The food was really good, the service was amazing. Pricing is a little higher, but I'd say it's fair for the portions you get. Definitely will return.
New Ownership is making this place shine. Soup and ranch is homemade along with many of their dishes. Everything is fresh and consistent. All you can eat Chicken and Fish Specials are 10/10. Best prices and quality in town.
